The Wedding Suppliers Association of the Philippines Northern Mindanao Chapter has set their program plans and projects for 2022 during a Christmas Fellowship at Amaya View, Indahag Hills, Cagayan de Oro City last December 24, 2021.
The event was graced by no less than WSAP Founder Thel Jesus “TJ” Yuson who personally planed in from Manila to give the WSAP pin to the chapter officers and members.
Among the key programs and projects planned by WSAP Northern Mindanao for 2022 are the following: Northern Mindanao Suppliers Ball (Feb. 2022), Northern Mindanao Wedding Expo 2022, and the Northern Mindanao Co-Working Space Exclusive for Wedding Suppliers.
“Our common working space will have a full-time staff who will attend to our client’s inquiries. It will have a gallery with all the fliers and information they need to know about the particular supplier,” TJ noted. “So the co-working space will be like a daily expo where all these will be made available to the client to help him decide on the appropriate wedding supplier for their wedding.”
According to TJ, WSAP Northern Mindanao is the first regional chapter to be organized outside Metro Manila and have elected their officers for 2021-2022: Enson Geguiera – President; Leigh Roux – Vice President; Michael Moca – Secretary; Garry Acuman – Treasurer; Rommel Lagumbay – Auditor; Lourd Martinez – Business Development; Clau Amanense – Public Relations; and Ambing Carrasco – Director.
“Ang association natin hindi lang focused on the business owners. Focused din on the other stakeholders. For instance, you cannot do without your staff who are mostly on-call for gigs. Even they can be our members, “TJ said.
“Competition is always there but we can work professionally. We’d like to uplift the public’s perception for wedding suppliers. Clients are already educated about the industry and will not go for your bells and whistles because each supplier has their own style and flair. It’s more matching the client with the appropriate wedding supplier who meets his wants and needs.”
The Wedding Suppliers Association of the Philippines, Inc. (WSAP) was registered as a non-profit organization by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in 2018, and now has hundreds of members across the country.
“Our primary goal is to professionalize the wedding suppliers industry by delivering comprehensive trainings, seminars, legal ang health activities possible, ensuring that wedding suppliers are regarded as professionals in their field,” said TJ. “Fair po lahat, walang premium, walang bago, walang luma, we are all business persons, we are all equal here.”
“We, the Philippine Wedding Suppliers Association Inc. envision ourselves to become the most well-known wedding organization worldwide,” he stressed.
